io spark’s chief engagement officer and founder, Angelo Ioffreda, works with senior leaders to drive business performance, engagement, and innovation, and to lead, manage, and navigate organizational change. He has held communication leadership roles in various organizations, including NII Holdings, Inc., the World Bank Group, Sodexo, AOL Time Warner and AOL, RLM Strategic Communications, and the U.S. Department of State.

A frequent speaker, Angelo has presented on a variety of communication topics at conferences by The Conference Board, The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Melcrum, and Marcus Evans. Angelo serves as adjunct faculty in the Key Executive Leadership Program at American University in Washington, D.C. He is a past president of the DC Metro Chapter of IABC, the largest in the U.S.

Angelo has a MBA from the Wharton School, a MA in International Affairs from the University of Chicago, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with degrees in Anthropology (honors) and Biology from Grinnell College. He was a Presidential Management Fellow and a Thomas J. Watson Fellow. Angelo has a certificate in Change Leadership from Georgetown University, is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Strength Deployment Inventory assessments, and is fluent in Spanish.

Outside of work, Angelo enjoys cycling, fitness, reading, music, and making scrap art.
